Jonathan Cahn Reveals the Biblical Mystery That Connects Abortion and the One Who Overturned It

Could the events of recent years be the unfolding of mysteries going back two and a half thousand years?

Could these mysteries have altered even the makeup and rulings of the Supreme Court?

Could a child, a river and a princess provide the key to a critical altering of America’s course?

These stunning questions and more are asked and answered in Jonathan Cahn’s latest blockbuster bestseller The Josiah Manifesto: The Ancient Mystery & Guide for the End Times released by Frontline Charisma Media in September.

“This book even takes some of the mysteries I’ve revealed in the past further than they’ve ever gone before,” says Cahn. “And then it opens up the template and guide for God’s people to overcome in these end times.”

THE FIRST WAR AGAINST BABIES

The Josiah Manifesto connects many dots of events currently happening in our world, even pointing to transitions in the Supreme Court.

After Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg died in September of 2020 (on the exact day of the Jewish Feast of Trumpets) President Trump was faced with appointing a new judge to the court—someone who, it turns out, was appointed by God for that exact moment. To open up that mystery, Cahn goes back to the book of Exodus, in another time of upheaval for ancient Israel.

“This is a mystery that converged with all the other mysteries, and apart from which the others would never have come to their fulfillment,” says Cahn. “And this one would begin in Egypt, in the River Nile.”

Cahn points out that the very first war in history against babies was in Egypt (Exodus 1:16), when the Egyptians were killing Hebrew baby boys. “It was a campaign of mass infanticide,” he says, “a civilization warring against a generation of infants. Yet there was one child born in the midst of that slaughter, a Levite baby who would be called Moshe, or Moses.”

Fearing for Moses’ life, his mother kept him hidden three months after his birth. But when she could no longer hide him, …she took an ark of bulrushes for him, daubed it with asphalt and pitch, put the child in it, and laid it in the reeds by the river’s bank (Exodus 2:3).

“To save her baby from death, Moses’ mother placed him in the ark and set him in the Nile River. After he was found by the Pharaoh’s daughter, his life was saved and he was brought up as her own son.”

The Bible tells us that when Moses grew up, he fled the land of Egypt, but then, years later, he returned there, sent by God on a mission to set His people free. “When Pharaoh refused his demand for freedom, Moses became the vessel of Egypt’s judgment,” says Cahn, “the instrument through which the Ten Plagues would fall on the kingdom.”

BREAKER OF DEATH

Cahn points out that the first of Egypt’s plagues began in the same waters into which the Hebrew babies had been cast, the Nile. “In other words, the nation’s judgment had returned to the place of the nation’s sin,” he says. “The nature of that first plague would highlight the connection—the waters of the Nile would turn to blood just as the blood of the Hebrew children had once reddened its waters.”

And the man through whom the judgment came had once floated down the same river.

“It was Moses, as well, who oversaw the coming of the tenth and final plague, that of the judgment that would slay the sons of Egypt,” says Cahn. “As Egypt had sought the death of Israel’s sons, now it would witness the death of its own. Moses ended up becoming the one who then overturned the entire power of Egypt that was trying to kill the children.”

CHILDREN OF THE SHADOW

Then The Josiah Manifesto opens up the connection. “In America, the critical three-year window of killing babies through abortion on demand began in January 1970 and ended in January 1973 with the Supreme Court ruling that made it the law of the land. The unborn children of that window were the first over whose lives hung the specter of legalized murder. They were the firstfruits of the generations that followed them and over whom that shadow would also loom.”

Over one million of that generation who were alive in their mothers’ wombs during that window of time would not be alive at its end.

“In the case of ancient Egypt, it was one of the Hebrew babies that had survived the days of slaughter who, years later, would break the power that had spilled the children’s blood,” says Cahn. “What about America? Could there have been a child born in that critical three-year window whose life would be spared and who, years later, would be central in the breaking of the power behind that slaughter?”

THE GIRL AMONG THE REEDS

There was such a child born in America. It was a baby girl, born in New Orleans on January 28, 1972. Her parents named her Amy. Years later she would become famous as Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett.

Amy Barrett was born in that first period of slaughter, when abortion on demand came to America—and when Roe v. Wade had come to the Supreme Court. In fact, she was born right in between the two hearings of Roe v. Wade in that court. She would grow up to enter the Supreme Court at the exact time when the case that would overturn Roe v. Wade had also arrived at the Court.

“Roe v. Wade would be overturned by a single vote,” says Cahn, “and she would be the one to cast that vote. Without her coming onto the court at that exact time and without the casting of her vote, Roe v. Wade would never have been overturned. Her life was the missing piece of the puzzle—the first justice to sit on the Supreme Court born in the days when it was legal to prevent her from being born. It was the outworking of the mystery that went back over 3,000 years to the baby in the Nile.”

The Hebrew boy taken from the Nile into Pharaoh’s palace was appointed to one day return there and fulfill his appointed part at the appointed time to set his people free. Much the same way, the girl born in the days when Roe v. Wade made its way through the halls of the Supreme Court was appointed to one day enter those same halls to fulfill her appointed part at her appointed moment.

Amy Coney Barrett was America’s child of the Nile.

WHAT IS GOD SAYING?

So, what is the significance of these dates and signs lining up in such a remarkable way in The Josiah Manifesto? What is God saying to us?

“God is showing us that He is just as real and precise today as He was in the days of the Bible,” says Cahn. “He’s the same God behind the events happening now. He is in charge, and we are on the winning side. When Moses stood before Pharaoh, he did not look as if he was on the winning side—but he was. When Elijah stood before King Ahab, he did not look as if he was on the winning side—but he was. When Paul stood in chains and on trial for his life, he did not look as if he was on the winning side—but he was.”

And Cahn says it will be the same in these last days. “So it has been for the righteous of God in every age, and so it will be in the end times. So we must all the more stand strong, confident, bold, and assured in knowing that the good will prevail and with God we are, without question, on the winning side.”

The Josiah Manifesto acknowledges that because we live in an age at war against the purposes of God, His people will appear as weak, as the few and the hopeless. “But it is an illusion,” says Cahn. “The will of God will, in the end, prevail. The purposes of God will come to pass. The Word of God will be fulfilled. The light of God will overcome the darkness. The love of God will overcome all things. And the one who lives in these things will prevail.”

Cahn emphasizes that the people of God must hold to that truth and live in that confidence that we’re on the winning side—because we are.
